423 Women’s

DIRECTOR

Jara Douse

A young woman, Jara Douse, 423 Women's Director, with shoulder-length brown hair and earrings, sitting on a brown leather couch, smiling at the camera against a dark gray wall.

As someone who has experienced God’s transforming grace firsthand, I’m passionate about helping women find freedom in Christ. My recovery journey began when Jesus met me exactly where I was, bringing profound transformation to my soul. Through His grace, my heart of stone was softened, and my relationship with Him has only deepened and grown. It’s through this transformation that God has called me to walk alongside other women, offering hope, encouragement, and the truth of His love to those facing similar struggles.

Inside Our Groups

One of the greatest privileges that we have inside our groups is getting to step into the space alongside our sisters and introduce them over and over again to the grace and love of God, allowing them to step out of hiding, out of isolation and shame, and into the freedom of being known and loved as they wrestle and fight against the patterns of unhealthy behaviors that have dominated their lives.

Regardless of where you find yourself in your story, this is a place where you can go every week, and be radically transparent, vulnerable and honest as you wrestle with shame, identity and learning what it looks like for us to be followers of Christ together, working towards ending the unhealthy cycles of sexual sin in our lives.

Wherever you are in your story, this is a place to be radically honest—about shame, identity, and the hard questions of faith.

Each 2-hour group includes:

  • Witnessing Community (1st hour): A space for honest storytelling, exploring the “why” behind our behaviors through storywork practices that help us understand what’s happening beneath the surface.

  • Equipping Time (2nd hour): Focused on tools, curriculum, and clinical practices that strengthen and support long-term healing and growth.

You were never meant to do this alone. These groups offer a community of believers running the race beside you—fighting for health, freedom, and hope.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS – 423 Women GROUPS

Q: What is the membership fee?
A:
Our membership fee is $35.25 per month. 423 Communities is mainly funded by these fees and generous donor support! We’re proud to offer a very affordable rate compared to other ministries in this space.

Q: What if I can’t afford the membership fee?

A: If you are unable to pay the membership fee due to financial hardship- please fill out the financial aid form at the end of the group application to inquire about available scholarships.

Q: Who can join the 423 Women’s groups?
A:
Our women's groups are open to adult women seeking freedom from unwanted sexual behaviors and healing from sexual trauma. We offer a confidential, non-judgmental space for your journey.

Q: Is this only for women struggling with pornography?
A:
While some women come to address struggles with pornography, our resources support a wide range of unwanted sexual behaviors- such as masturbation, sex outside of marriage, etc.

Q: How long are the groups?
A:
Our groups typically meet weekly, year-round! We don’t place a time limit on healing because recovery looks different for everyone.

Q: What’s the time commitment like?
A:
Group sessions are usually 2 hours once a week. Some groups may also invite you to complete short reflections outside of meetings to help you process and grow.

A:
We offer both! Depending on your area, you may have the option to join a local group. You can see what’s available at the bottom of the 423 Women’s group application.

Q: Are the groups confidential?
A:
100%. What’s shared in group stays in group. We take your privacy seriously and work hard to create a safe, grace-filled environment.

Q: Will my church or family know I'm in a group?
A:
Not unless you tell them. We never contact churches or families without your express permission.

Q: What’s the difference between a group and coaching?
A:
Groups offer community and shared healing with others walking similar paths. Coaching, on the other hand, is a one-on-one space where you can explore your story more deeply and receive personalized support.

Q: Do I need to be in a group to sign up for coaching?
A:
Nope! Coaching is available to any woman, whether or not you're in a group.

Q: Is there a cost for coaching?
A:
Yes. Coaching sessions are $65 for one hour with Jara Douse, our Women’s Director. This fee helps us continue offering high-quality, personalized care.

Q: Can I donate to support this program?
A:
Yes, and we’re so grateful! As a donor-supported ministry, your generosity helps women find freedom and hope. You can give through our donation page and even choose to support a specific program, role, or general needs.
