Area Director for 423 Communities International

423 Area Directors of 423 Communities International report to the 423 Executive Director and the 423 Board of Directors. Area Directors are responsible for the consistent achievement of the organization’s mission and financial objectives.

The mission of 423 Communities International, based on Matthew 28.18-20, is to “shine the light of the gospel of sexual sobriety in every dark corner of the globe.”

Approximately 3,000 members have joined 423 Communities International since its inception in 2009, and now hosts about 360 men, women, and young people with over 100 volunteer leaders, in 37 recovery groups, in over 20 partner churches, and in 8 states.

Area Directors Job Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting, training, equipping, recognition, and retirement of volunteer leaders who facilitate gender-specific 423 addiction and trauma recovery groups (423 Men, 423 Women, 423 Sisters, 423 Young Men, and 423 Parents) in their geographical locations.

  • Meet with church leaders in their geographical locations to develop good Partner Church relationships and to procure host church meeting sites for new 423 Communities recovery groups.

  • Launch, temporarily lead as necessary, and manage new 423 Communities recovery groups at by invitation of Partner Churches in their geographical locations.

  • Encourage member and leader participation in 423 Monthly Giving Family.

  • Comply with all 423 Leadership and Policy documents.

Work Hours and Benefits:  

  • Work hours are entirely flexible.

  • Approved expenses, including mileage, paid by 423 Communities.

Area Directors Qualifications / Skills:

  • Subscribes to 423 Communities Statement of Faith posted on its website.

  • Has personal recovery experience in a 423 Communities recovery group.
